In 1997, Wendy Gabriel's attitude about life and her career was literally transformed in two minutes. Wendy was anchoring the five o'clock newscast at KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when she had what she calls, "an epiphany."

"When we went to break, I flipped through my scripts and I was struck by how fear-based so many of the stories were. And I suddenly realized that's what a lot of news is about: making people feel threatened or unsafe so they'll stay glued to the tube. I got this icky feeling in my stomach and I just thought, 'This isn't right! I don't want to spread fear for a living!'" she says earnestly. "I sat there during the two-minute break and thought, 'Okay, well, if this isn't what I want to be when I grow up, then what DO I want?'

Six months later, Wendy walked away from television and started a new life. Today she's a graduate of psychologist and New Age pioneer Dr. Doreen Virtue's Mediumship Mentoring class, is a certified Angel Therapy Practitioner®, and is a graduate of Virtue's Professional Spiritual Teacher Training Program. She now gives workshops and presentations, teaching others how to communicate with their guardian angels, increase their psychic abilities, and live their lives with integrity. Wendy also has a thriving private practice, giving intuitive angel readings and facilitating emotional clearing sessions with clients across the United States.

Wendy is an award-winning newspaper writer and the author of several forthcoming spiritual self-help books.
